Spring has arrived

The weather the past couple days has been wonderful. It has been warm and sunny. We have been trying to spend as much time outside as possible. Yesterday Cate and I played at the park and then we came home and played in the back yard. Cate had a great time running around the yard and trying to play with Buddy. I also moved her slide outside so that she could play on it. We had such a wonderful day.





Today we went to a zoo that is close to our house. Some of my coworkers were talking about it last week so we thought we would go and give it a try. It turned out to be the perfect thing to do. The zoo had a lot of animals, including 3 adult lions and a baby lion. They also had a petting zoo where Cate was able to pet a Llama and a goat. The zoo was the perfect size to walk around with a toddler. Cate enjoyed looking at the animal but she called most of them "doggies". In June they are going to finish a "splash and play" area for the kids to play in the water. We are really looking forward to coming back for that. Then there was a park outside the zoo that we took Cate to. She had a great time playing and going down the slides. Then we had our lunch at a picnic bench. It was a great way to spend the day and the weather was perfect. We are so happy to have the sun out!!

Easter fun

Here are some pictures and a video of our Easter day fun. Grandma and Grandpa Schmidt are here for a visit. Cate loved to open up the Easter eggs. It was a surprise every time she opened one up. After breakfast, the weather was pretty nice so we went to the park to play. Cate ran around and played on everything. It was a lot of fun.







Back at home we all played outside in the front. Cate loves to color with chalk. And then Grandma blew bubbles with Cate. It was a wonderful day.

Yesterday the weather was beautiful so we decided to go to the park and play for a while. The park is right on the water, so it is beautiful. Cate loved running around on the boardwalk and the big grassy area. She also liked to point out the boats and loved it when a dog walked by. Eric and I had a great time watching her play. After the park we walked to lunch. We had a great family day. Here are some pictures and a video of our great day.

Messy eater

Cate loves to feed herself everything now. She is getting better, but she is still pretty messy. Most of the food does end up in her mouth at some point though. Here is a picture and a video of her eating.

Busy, Busy

I have been so busy since we got back from Steamboat. I have been working a lot. I haven't had time to update the blog. Here are some pictures that I have taken since we got back. Cate is doing great, and we are loving watching her learn and develop. It seems like everyday she learns something new. She is starting to want more independence. She will push you away if she wants to do something by herself. The only bad thing is that all of her molars decided to come in at the same time. Her gums don't look too happy.
