Pretty Dresses

When I got Cate dressed this morning she said "I in a dress Mommy, dance with me". It was so cute!

Then she wanted to play dress up with her new princess dress and tiara

Here is a current picture of our ever growing son. It is amazing how much he is changing. He is starting to smile a lot more. He is also doing really well at night. He only wakes up one time at night, which makes us very happy.

I dressed Cate in a CU outfit when she was little and put her back in it as she got older. So I thought I would do the same with Ashton. So here he is at 1 month old.

I just thought this was a great picture of him sleeping.

Bubbles

Grandma and Grandpa Schmidt gave Cate Gymboree Bubbles for Chrismas. She loves them so much. Here is a picture of her in her play room with all of the bubbles.

Cate had two of her friends over yesterday to play. The three of them had a tea party. It was so cute.

Grandparents Visit

Grandma and Grandpa Schmidt came out for a visit to see Cate and meet Ashton. We had a wonderful time while they were here. Cate really enjoyed playing with her grandparents and Eric and I really enjoyed their company. Cathy cooked a lot of great food for us and we were able to freeze a bunch of left overs. It was very helpful. Here are some pictures and video from their visit.

Little Bear

Cate continues to be a great big sister. When I take them to the gym, Cate sits with Ashton and protects him. She makes sure that the other kids don't touch him and rocks his car seat to keep him happy. She is so sweet with him.

I put Ashton in a little bear outfit today. It is pretty cold here so the outfit is perfect.

Cate watches me carry around Ashton. Today she wanted to carry her baby in the carrier, so I helped her put the carrier on.

For some reason Cate likes to sing happy birthday to everyone. Today she made Ashton a b-day cake and sang to him.

Cate loves to hold Ashton. She will say "Cate hold baby brother please" It is so sweet. It is so great to watch her with him.


Ashton is getting stronger and bigger every day. He is starting to lift his head up and is able to hold it up for a few seconds. I can't believe that he is going to be 3 weeks old tomorrow!

Ashton Checkup

I took Ashton to the doctor for his 2 week checkup on Tuesday. He weighed in at 9lb 6oz (65%) and was 21 3/4 in long (85%). He is as healthy as can be. It is amazing how fast he is growing. He continues to be a great baby and we already can't imagine life without him.

Last day

My parents and Quentin went back home today. It was sad to see them go. Time went by so fast while they were here. We had a great time with them and I am so happy that they were able to be here to celebrate Christmas and New Years.



This video isn't too exciting, it is just a video of Ashton hanging out. He is so cute when he is awake because he just looks around and takes it all in.
