We did it!

My Dad, Mom, and I competed as a team in a triathlon in Steamboat this last weekend for my birthday. My Dad swam 3/4 mile in murky Lake Catamount, I rode 20 miles on the bike, and my Mom ran 4 miles. We had a lot of fun.

9 Month Checkup

Catherine went in for her 9 month checkup today. She is doing really well. She weighed in at 18 lbs and is 27 inches long, both in the 25th percentile. She has slowed down in her growth a little bit but the doctor says that she is growing proportionally. Catherine is able to crawl, pull up on almost anything, crawl up the stairs (but not down), and wave. She loves to wave and smile at everyone that she sees. She still doesn't have any teeth but that isn't slowing her down from trying new foods. While out of town we discovered that she loves ice cream. It is so much fun to watch her crawl around and discover new things. She is very curious. I will post some new pictures soon.

San Diego Vacation

We just got back from a wonderful vacation to Mission Beach San Diego. It was our first vacation with a baby and it went very well. She did great on the flight and had a great time at the beach. We did a lot of fun things while we were there. Some big accomplishments for Catherine on vacation: She perfected crawling, pulling up on things, waving, saying mama and dada, and she is starting to walk while holding on to things. It is amazing how much babies can learn in just one week.
