6 MONTHS OLD

I took Ashton in for his 6 month check up today and as expected he is doing great. Here are his stats: 19.06lbs (76%), 27.5in (83%). Here are some pictures of what he has learned since his 4 month checkup.

He can now sit up unsupported and loves to sit and play.

He can get on all fours now and is desperately trying to figure out how to crawl.

I am not sure if Cate is going to like it when he crawls because he loves trying to get her toys.

He is an eating machine. He loves all of the foods that we have introduced to him.

Outdoor fun

This weekend we got Cate a water table for her to play with on the deck. She absolutely loves it. Here is a picture of her playing with it in her new swim suit.

Here is a video of Cate playing with her new water table:

Here is a video of Cate running around in the back yard:

Eric set up a ladder by the window for Cate to watch birds and people go by the house. She now loves to go on the ladder to watch Eric pull in the driveway after work. It is so cute to see her get so excited to see him after work.

Baptism

This morning we had Ashton Baptized. He did great. He didn't cry and was a very happy baby. Cate was a great big sister and was on her best behavior. It was very lovely and well done. Here are some pictures:

6 Months Old

Ashton will be 6 months old tomorrow. I can't believe that it has been 6 months already. We are really starting to see his personality shine through. He is such a happy little soul. He loves to sit and watch his sister play. He is trying to crawl already, although he can't quite seem to figure it out yet.

Here is a picture of Ashton sitting in the the family room.

Here is a picture of Cate when she was about 6 months old. It is hard to remember her being a baby.

Today Cate and I made "Happy Father's Day" cookies for Eric. She helped me make the cookie dough, roll it out, and cut out all of the shapes. While we were making it she kept asking me if we were going to sing Happy Father's Day to dad.

Here is a picture of Cate and her ponies. She wrapped them up and put them down for a nap.

What we have been up to...

I feel like we have been very busy lately. Between taking care of the kids, work, and life, time seems to be flying by. The kids seem like they are growing up so fast. Cate is the sweetest little girl. She makes us laugh all of the time. I love playing and talking with her. The things that she comes up with to say and do are so funny. Ashton is going to be 6 months old next week and his personality is really starting to show. He is pretty easy going as far as other people holding him. That has been really nice for me because Cate was a Momma's girl and cried when other people would hold her. Ashton is a great sitter now and is loving his new perspective. He loves to watch Cate play and can't wait until he can play with her. I don't think that it will be long until he starts crawling. He is a great little boy.

Here is a picture of Cate being silly with her raspberries:

When Cate was a baby it took us forever to be able to get her to use a sippy cup. Any time we tried to have her drink out of one she would cry and cry. So today I was thinking that I better try to start a cup with Ashton. I was nervous that he would flip out. So I filled one up and gave it to him and to my surprise he just started drinking out of it. Here is a picture of him holding his own cup:

Cate decided to be "Mommy" today, so she put on my shoes. She walked around and told me what we were going to do today and then asked me what I wanted her to make for dinner. If only she could really make dinner!

A few months ago Eric and discovered that there was a new bike path that had just been paved right by our house. It starts one block from our house and goes straight to a park that we used to drive to. It has been great having such a nice path right by our house.

Ashton loves to swing at the park.

I can't believe how big Cate is getting. She is swinging on the big kid swings and is trying to learn to pump her legs.

Great Evening

This evening we all decided to enjoy the great evening weather and to play outside in the yard. Cate and Eric have come up with a new game where they chase each other around the yard. It is so funny to watch. Even Ashton enjoys the game. Here are some pictures of us playing in the yard:

Playing at home

Ashton has been sleeping through the night for about 3 weeks now and is sleeping in his own room! Here is a picture of him sleeping.

Cate looks like such a big girl in this picture

Ashton playing with his toys. I think he looks like he is working at his desk.

Cate thought it looked like fun so I let her sit in the chair too.

Cate built this tower all by her self
