So far this month we have had a great time getting ready for Christmas.
We got a tree and decorated it
We hung our stockings with care
We headed to our neighborhood community center to see Santa. We got very lucky because Santa decided to bring two of his reindeer for the kids to see
Mrs. Clause had a dove and even let the kids hold it
Ashton sat on Santa's lap and told him what he wanted for Christmas...a matchbox car
As you can tell from this picture, Cate wasn't too thrilled to sit next to Santa. She did tell her Dad to tell Santa that she would like a pair of slippers for Christmas.
(I had hip surgery about 2 weeks ago and get to wear this lovely brace)
After meeting Santa we all went over to the treat table to pick out something to eat
Ashton really enjoyed his cupcake
Cate enjoyed her cinnamon roll and Ashton decided that he was over getting his picture taken
We were able to talk him into taking a family photo though
Aunt Steph came for a visit and let Ashton open his birthday present early so she could see him enjoy it. Yes she got him a trampoline!
Steph and Daddy put the the trampoline together in our basement. Ashton and Cate tried to help out...

These are two of the luckiest kids!!!!
