Halloween/Cate's Bday

For Halloween Ashton went as a Transformer- Optimus Prime and Cate had 2 costumes.  She went as Cinderella to our neighborhood celebration and was Rosetta- a fairy- for trick or treating.  

Our neighborhood has a big Halloween celebration complete with a petting zoo, rides, and a pumpkin patch.  The kids had a great time!

After the rides we headed over to the pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpkin to bring home.

Halloween night was so much fun.  The kids had a blast trick or treating.

These kids have become the best of friends and have so much fun together!

The next weekend was beautiful and we took the dogs out for a walk.  The kids walked them the whole way.

More fun at Centennial Park

Cate and I took a walk and she chatted with me the whole time.  

Daddy and Ashton made a bunch of tunnels in the sandbox.  

A few days before Cate's birthday Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Pat, and Uncle Don came over to give Cate her birthday presents.

 Grandma and Grandpa gave Cate some clothes and a beautiful locket engraved with her initials.

Cate wanted a "My Little Pony" themed birthday cake this year.  Here is what I made:

We took Cate and 2 of her friends, Addy and Makenzie, to Chuck E Cheese for her birthday party.  All of the kids had a blast!

They played a bunch of games and won a ton of tickets

We had pizza and cake

Cate got to go into the ticket blaster which blows air and tickets fly all around and she had to catch as many as she could.  She did a great job and came out with quite a few tickets.

Later that afternoon Grammy and Grandpa Rlowe came down to celebrate Cate's birthday

We gave Cate a pony car and clearly she was excited!

Grammy and Grandpa Rlowe gave Cate a ski helmet and goggles for her first ski season.

Cate had to make a disguise for a paper turkey for school.  She chose to dress her turkey up as a princess to try to "save the turkey from thanksgiving dinner"

Ashton got to have some of his friends over to play while their mom was recovering from surgery.  Cody and Ty came over for an afternoon and played and played :)

We saw Santa at the mall.  Cate wasn't too excited but Ashton hopped right up onto his lap and told him what he wanted for Christmas... legos and trucks.

Ashton and I went for a walk and he of course rode his bike.  

The town of Castle Rock has a "Star Lighting" celebration every year where they light the star on the top of the Castle Rock.  It was a bit chilly but we packed some hot chocolate and had a wonderful time.
