First time in the ocean

San Diego Vacation

We just got back from a wonderful vacation to Mission Beach San Diego. It was our first vacation with a baby and it went very well. She did great on the flight and had a great time at the beach. We did a lot of fun things while we were there. Some big accomplishments for Catherine on vacation: She perfected crawling, pulling up on things, waving, saying mama and dada, and she is starting to walk while holding on to things. It is amazing how much babies can learn in just one week.

Here is a video of Cate crawling. In the last week she has progressed so much with her crawling. We really have to watch her now because she is so quick. She is also starting to pull up on things which is fun to watch.

Now that she can crawl she is getting in to trouble. She loves power cords and the cable box. They always want to play with things they are not supposed to.

We are trying to get Cate to eat food off of her tray. She knows if it is food and then won't put it into her mouth. We are also working on sing a sippy cup too. She doesn't want anything to do with a sippy cup. She likes to throw it onto the floor.

She loves to sit and play with her toys

She is so close to crawling. I don't think she could be any closer to crawling without actually doing it. Here is a picture of her trying to crawl. Her new accomplishment is that she can go from her stomach to a sitting position.

Here is a video of Catherine going from her belly to a sitting position. This was the first time that I have seen her do it, so I was lucky to get it on video.
