Feeling better

Cate is finally starting to feel better. She has started to get some energy back and is playing again. I posted a few pictures of her in a box with a bunch of her little people animals in with her. I also posted a video of her playing. The last picture is of her holding the big balloon Eric gave me for Valentine's Day.

15 Month Stats

Catherine went to the doctor for her 15 month checkup today. Other than the fact that she is sick again, the doctor said that developmentally she is right on track. She weighs 23lbs (50%), is 30.25 inches long (50%), and her HC is 18.3in (70%).

So Catherine has another bad cold. She has a cough and a very runny nose. Her cough has been so bad that she sometimes gags and then throws up. We feel so bad for her because she has had to spend so much time sick. Hopefully she will get better soon.

Trip to Boston

Eric and I have been saying that when the weather got nicer we should go to Boston for the day. So this week when the weather report said that it would be in the 40s and sunny we decided that Sunday would be a great day to go to Boston. We planned on driving into town, going to the FAO Schwartz, and then going to Quincy Market for lunch and to walk around the area.

Our trip did not go as planned and it ended with Eric throwing up in the parking lot. Let me back track and tell you what happened. First, we got lost on the way to FAO Schwartz. It took us about 20 extra minutes to get there and then we had to find parking. We found a parking lot, parked and headed out to find the toy store. We walked around for a while and realized that the toy store address was the same as Macy's. So we went into Macy's and asked where the toy store is. A couple of people looked at us like we were crazy, but the last person we asked said that it was in the basement of Macy's. We thought that sounded weird but we went down there anyway. Once we got down there we saw in the corner there was a small FAO Schwartz set up. There were a few toys and a few stuffed animals. So we thought "oh well" and decided to head down to Quincy Market. We decided to walk. Turns out it was a really windy day. (the stroller almost blew over with Catherine in it!!) After some extreme walking we made it to Quincy Market and Catherine was very hungry. We decided to stop for lunch. We found a very small table in the corner and squeezed in to eat. Eric and I took turns going to get something to eat. We sat there for a while and couldn't think of what to do after lunch since it was so windy. So we went over to the "Build a Bear Workshop" and we made a Puppy with Cate. She decided to name him Quincy. That was a lot of fun and Catherine loved running around the store with her new puppy. SO after that we decided that it was time to head back to the car. We ventured back into the wind. We walked by Boston Common park and saw a bunch of people ice skating there. We stopped and watched for a little bit. (The wind wasn't too bad in the park) Then we headed back to the car. On the way back Eric kept saying that he didn't feel good. Once we got to the car Eric threw up in the parking lot. Turns out that the lobster roll that he had for lunch didn't sit to well with him. Right after he threw up he got a bloody nose. Since he was bleeding I told him I would drive home. Once we got on the highway there was a ton of traffic so it took us an extra half hour to get home. When we pulled in to our driveway we looked at each other and laughed. I think that the "big city" got the best of us today. Here are some pictures and video of our big adventure.

Great Weekend

We finally had an enjoyable weekend as a family. We took Catherine to the Children's Museum again and she had a great time. Each time we go she discovers new things to play with and to explore. Also I posted some pictures of her playing in the kitchen. She liked it when I filled my cheeks with air and she got to pop them. We got the best picture of her cuddling with Buddy. He was laying on the floor and she just walked up to him and started to snuggle. I am so happy that we had the camera handy.

Healthy Baby

Here are some pictures of our healthy baby. She is feeling much better now, which is wonderful. Eric and I were sick for a couple of days too. We are all doing much better now.

I am starting to work more at my job, about 3 days per week, so Eric and I are really busy. Catherine is still doing well at day care and I think she is getting more used to it now. It is amazing how much work it is just to get everything ready to take her to day care. I feel like I really need that day off from work in between day care days to get everything ready for the next time. It is worth it though because it is nice for me to be able to go to work, make some money, and know that Cate is doing well. I am really enjoying my job so far. Everyone that I work with is so nice. There are a couple women my age that have kids the same age as Cate. It is nice to get out of the house and work and feel like at the end of the day I accomplished something. (Not like keeping a baby alive and happy all day isn't an accomplishment)

This is a picture of Cate riding in the back of the car. (don't worry I took the picture before we started driving). She likes to read a book while we drive.

Catherine likes to try to drink out of my water bottle.

Happy and healthy!!!!

For some reason I thought that it would be fun to let Cate play with water in the sink : ) She loves to play with water so I thought that she would think it was fun. She really enjoyed it and got water all over the kitchen. It was messy but at least it was only water to clean up.
