Playing Outside
It was finally a nice enough day to play outside. Cate and I went out onto the deck and enjoyed a little fresh air. She ran around the deck and squealed with delight. It was so great to see her playing outside. I wanted to take her down into the yard but it rained this morning and the grass was very wet and muddy. I posted a couple pictures and a video of her playing on the deck. Hopefully the weather will continue to improve and we can enjoy more days outside. Fresh air is good for everyone!!!

Trip and new toy
On Sunday Eric, Cate, and I took a trip to Newport RI. We had a great time. We did the scenic Ocean Drive tour and then walked around downtown for a while. We then went to a great restaurant for lunch. It was a much better trip than our trip to Boston last weekend. Here are a couple pictures we took when we stopped to look at the water. We didn't stay out for long because it was cold and windy.

Catherine has been trying to push anything and everything she can get her hands on so I decided to get her a shopping cart that she can push around the house. As soon as we got home she started pushing it all over the house. (Of course Quincy had to ride along in the cart)

Feeling better
Cate is finally starting to feel better. She has started to get some energy back and is playing again. I posted a few pictures of her in a box with a bunch of her little people animals in with her. I also posted a video of her playing. The last picture is of her holding the big balloon Eric gave me for Valentine's Day.

15 Month Stats
Catherine went to the doctor for her 15 month checkup today. Other than the fact that she is sick again, the doctor said that developmentally she is right on track. She weighs 23lbs (50%), is 30.25 inches long (50%), and her HC is 18.3in (70%).
So Catherine has another bad cold. She has a cough and a very runny nose. Her cough has been so bad that she sometimes gags and then throws up. We feel so bad for her because she has had to spend so much time sick. Hopefully she will get better soon.

Trip to Boston
Eric and I have been saying that when the weather got nicer we should go to Boston for the day. So this week when the weather report said that it would be in the 40s and sunny we decided that Sunday would be a great day to go to Boston. We planned on driving into town, going to the FAO Schwartz, and then going to Quincy Market for lunch and to walk around the area.
Our trip did not go as planned and it ended with Eric throwing up in the parking lot. Let me back track and tell you what happened. First, we got lost on the way to FAO Schwartz. It took us about 20 extra minutes to get there and then we had to find parking. We found a parking lot, parked and headed out to find the toy store. We walked around for a while and realized that the toy store address was the same as Macy's. So we went into Macy's and asked where the toy store is. A couple of people looked at us like we were crazy, but the last person we asked said that it was in the basement of Macy's. We thought that sounded weird but we went down there anyway. Once we got down there we saw in the corner there was a small FAO Schwartz set up. There were a few toys and a few stuffed animals. So we thought "oh well" and decided to head down to Quincy Market. We decided to walk. Turns out it was a really windy day. (the stroller almost blew over with Catherine in it!!) After some extreme walking we made it to Quincy Market and Catherine was very hungry. We decided to stop for lunch. We found a very small table in the corner and squeezed in to eat. Eric and I took turns going to get something to eat. We sat there for a while and couldn't think of what to do after lunch since it was so windy. So we went over to the "Build a Bear Workshop" and we made a Puppy with Cate. She decided to name him Quincy. That was a lot of fun and Catherine loved running around the store with her new puppy. SO after that we decided that it was time to head back to the car. We ventured back into the wind. We walked by Boston Common park and saw a bunch of people ice skating there. We stopped and watched for a little bit. (The wind wasn't too bad in the park) Then we headed back to the car. On the way back Eric kept saying that he didn't feel good. Once we got to the car Eric threw up in the parking lot. Turns out that the lobster roll that he had for lunch didn't sit to well with him. Right after he threw up he got a bloody nose. Since he was bleeding I told him I would drive home. Once we got on the highway there was a ton of traffic so it took us an extra half hour to get home. When we pulled in to our driveway we looked at each other and laughed. I think that the "big city" got the best of us today. Here are some pictures and video of our big adventure.
