Photo Shoot

I took the kids to Sears today and had their pictures taken. They turned out soooo cute!!! Cate and Ashton did so well. I love all of the pictures. The "Little Brother" shirt that Ashton is wearing was Eric's when he was little. I had Cate's picture taken again with her bear "Boo" (she had him in her 3 month pictures) and decided to have Ashton's picture taken with "Cat in the Hat".

Fun at Home

Ashton is 10 weeks old now!

Here is a picture of Cate pushing around her truck. It is "kid powered", so when you push it it sings songs and plays music.

She put her babies from her dollhouse in the truck and pushed them around the house. When she was pushing them she stopped and said, "they need their carseats". It was so cute.

Eric and Cate played outside yesterday with Buddy. They had a great time running around the yard.

2 Month Checkup

Today was Ashton's 2 month checkup. He is doing great. He is a healthy and happy baby. He did great at the doctor's office. He only cried momentarily when he got his shots. As I guessed he is a big kid. He weighed in at 13.63 lbs (87%), is 24in long (83%), and his head is in the 82nd percentile. Cate's stats at her two month visit were: 11lbs 4oz and is 23in long (75th %).

Children's Museum

Yesterday Eric and I decided to go for it and take both kids to the Children's Museum in Boston on a weekend. Of course it was very busy, but we had a great time. Cate loved running around a trying out everything. The museum is huge and there is so much to do. It was a very tiring trip but we had a lot of fun.

There was an entire room of bubbles. Cate loved watching Eric blow huge bubbles.

Here is Cate playing

Cate has recently developed a love for trains, so of course she was excited when she saw a room full of trains.

Cate got in the car and said that she was going to drive us to the beach. Then she told us that we would have to wait in the car until it got warm.

Ashton did great at the museum. He loved looking at all of the other kids and of course he loves to watch his sister play.

Amazingly Ashton took his nap at the loud museum. He is truly a baby on the go. (that is Ashton in the carrier)

There was a giant ball room that had all different setups for playing with golf balls. I think that this was Cate's favorite area. She loved sending the balls down the ramps and seeing them jump into the buckets.

Here is a cute picture of the kids laying on the couch together.

On a separate note, Cate is officially potty trained. She is doing so well. Eric and I are so proud of our daughter. She is growing up so fast!!

Back to Work

We have found a babysitter for the kids so that I can go back to work. I wasn't looking forward to trying to find someone. It is so hard to think about leaving your children with someone you don't know. But Eric and I feel so blessed to have found the person that we found. She was an LPN for 30 years in the mother/baby unit of a hospital. After leaving hospital work, she has been working for babysitting agencies. She is very nice and Cate took to her right away when she came over. I feel so relieved. So I will be heading back to work on March 16th and will be working 2 days per week. I am looking forward to getting back to work because I love my job and miss my coworkers. I feel like I have a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders!

Yesterday was a beautiful, sunny day so Eric took Cate outside to play in the snow.

Here is a video of Eric pulling Cate around in her new sled. She loved it.

Here are some pictures of the kids.
