Fun Weekend

On Saturday we went to a neighborhood block party.  There were a bunch of kids there and it was great to spend some time with all of our neighbors.  For the party one of our neighbors had the fire department come to show the kids a fire truck and an ambulance.  They let all of the kids take turns spraying the water hose and the rest of us ran through the water.  It felt great running through the water since it was 104 degrees outside.  Our neighbor also called an ice cream truck and had one come for all of the kids to get some ice cream.  

Later on in the evening the adults started racing zoom carts down the road.  Ashton decided to take a turn riding his trike down through the cones.

Today we took the kids to Highlands Ranch to play in the fountains.  It was the perfect thing to do on a hot day.  The kids had a blast running through all the fountains.  It was a great way to cool off.  

Once again we have had another great weekend.  

Track Practice

For the summer Cate is doing Track 2 days per week for an hour.  They have practice and then have a few meets.  It is so cute seeing the kids running.  I took some pictures today of her at practice:

Fun Times in Steamboat

On Sunday I took the kids up to Steamboat to see my parents and my Aunts and Uncles who were in town visiting.  My Aunts and Uncles were heading home mid day on Sunday so the kids and I headed up there bright and early on Sunday morning so that we could visit with them for a bit.  The kids and I had a great time up there.  The weather was windy but very nice.

At the base of the mountain the resort added this great creek that  people can go in to.  The kids loved playing in the creek.

Q works for an excavating company so he had me bring the kids to his job site so they could see all the big trucks.  Ashton loved it!

My parent's bought and refurbished this old stage coach.  The kids had such a great time playing in it.

Harkless Family Visit

Jenn, Elyse, and Anastasia came to Colorado last week for a visit.  It was so much fun to see all of the cousins together.  They all had so much fun together.  

Wednesday afternoon, I took the kids over to Grandma and Grandpa's house to visit with the girls.  They all played so well together.

On Friday Jenn and the girls came over to have a sleepover on Friday and Saturday night.  It was so much fun having them all at the house.

On Saturday morning we took the kids to the park to play

Aunt Jenn brought some fun things to do.  She brought some "goo" that you put on the end of a straw and it makes big bubbles.  The kids loved the bubbles.
