Fun Day

I took Cate to Target today to get some fun things to do. Here is a picture of her on the way home holding the stickers and paint set that I bought for her. The trip must have been very tiring because she crashed out in the car.

When we got home Cate got to put all the stickers that I bought her on paper. She also had a great time coloring too.

After coloring I used some moving boxes to make a play house for her. She thought it was so much fun to play in.

"Where's Cate?"

Cate got a bunch of new clothes from Grammy and Aunt Steph. This is a picture of her modeling the new outfit with Buddy.

Eric and I have been trying very hard to get Cate to eat a wider variety of foods. The other night Cate threw a fit about eating grilled cheese but she finally ate it. Today she ate her grilled cheese with minimal encouragement from me. I was so excited. Here is a picture of her eating grilled cheese!!

Baby Shower

This last weekend I went on a trip to Colorado by my self. It was a great getaway weekend for me. Cathy threw me a baby shower, which was so much fun. It was great to have all of my friends there. Eric stayed home and had a Daddy/Daughter weekend with Cate. Here are some pictures from the shower:

Uncle Don sent me home with a Saab toy car for Cate. As soon as she opened it she shouted "Thank you Uncle Don!" It was so cute. She has been playing with it all day. She even wanted to take it to the grocery store with us today.

New Park

Cate and I went back to the new park that we went to with my friends from work. It is a park that has a bunch of toddler toys. Cate loves to run around there and she had a great time today. Here are some pictures of her and the park.

Great Day

Today we took Cate to a zoo that we hadn't been to before. It was a beautiful day out today. We saw all sorts of animals and Cate got to feed some deer and some goats, which or course she thought was a lot of fun. We also went on a train ride around the zoo. Eric was very excited because they had a "digger" there, which is something that he loved to play with when he was a kid.






After we went to the zoo, Cate napped in the car and we went to a park down by the water near our house. We played in the grass and walked around a lot. It was such a nice day that we decided to stay there for dinner. Usually we bring Cate's dinner with us because she doesn't like things from the menu. Today we didn't have any food with us so we took a risk and decided to order her dinner and we were so happy because she ate her whole dinner. We had a wonderful day out as a family.

Her is the latest picture of the growing baby bump. I am now 24 weeks pregnant. I am still feeling great.

No More Pacifier

Eric and I decided that this would be the weekend to get rid of Cate's pacifier. I have to admit we have been putting it off because she is so attached to it when she is sleeping. We were really nervous that she wouldn't do well with not having it. So we decided that the best course of action would be to go cold turkey. So for her nap time yesterday when she asked for her pacifier we told her "we don't have pacifiers here anymore". She was a little sad and it took her a little longer for her to fall asleep but she tolerated it pretty well. She only napped for one hour instead of two and woke up pretty cranky. So of course this had us very nervous for the night time and we almost decided to give in and let her have it at night. But we stayed strong and Cate slept all night without a peep. It was like she had already forgotten about having pacifiers. So hopefully she will keep this up. What a great little girl she is!!!

Update of the last few days

I haven't posted on the blog in a little while so here is an update of what we have been up to:

Friday I took Cate to the pet store for something to do. She loved watching the birds flying around the cage. It is like "Where's Waldo" looking for Cate in the picture.

On Friday evening Cate wasn't feeling too well so we all sat down and watched "Finding Nemo" together. It was the first time that Cate sat through a whole movie.

The weekend was rainy so we just ran some errands and played inside. Also my friend Lindsey that I knew from when I lived out East when I was a kid. She was in my wedding and then over the past couple years we have lost touch. Last month Eric tracked her down and invited her over for a visit. She came over Saturday night and it was so great to catch up with her. She lives about 45 minutes away so hopefully we will be able to get together more often. Here is a picture of the new coat that Lindsey got for Cate. She had the biggest smile on her face as soon as she put it on.


On Monday I met a couple of my co-workers and their daughters, who are Cate's age, at a park that I hadn't been to before. It was a toddler park that had a bunch of toys that people had donated to the park. There were a bunch of slides, mini shopping carts, little kitchens, swings, etc. Cate had such a blast at the park and she loved playing with Abagail and Paige. It was a lot of fun.


On Wednesday the weather was beautiful so Cate and I walked to the park. There was another little girl there that Cate had fun chasing around the park.
