15 Month Checkup

Yes... I can't believe that Ashton is 15 months old.  I took him to the doctor and he is still a healthy growing boy.  Here are his stats:
Height 32 1/2 (90%), Weight 26lb 15oz (80%), and head 90%
He is starting to talk a little bit now.  He completely understands us and will point to things and get things when we ask him to.  The words that he uses are Momma, Dadda, ball, and uh-oh.  It is amazing how different he is from Cate.  People always tell you that your kids will be different but I never expected them to be so different.  They are both wonderful, loving kids but have such different personalities.  As Ashton gets older, the kids play more and more together and I love watching them play.  We are so blessed to have healthy, happy children!

Fun Pics from Home

Eric has given Ashton the nick name Bam Bam (from the Flinstones).  He sure seems to fit the nick name, especially when he is running around with a plastic bat.

Ashton loves to tip furniture over and climb on it
Cate and Ashton were playing today and Ashton kept trying to get Cate.  Here comes Ashton...
Cate ran as fast as she could yelling "Ashton is going to get me, Ashton is going to get me"

Cate waiting for Ashton to come and get her

Ashton pulled up a chair to try to get Cate

Ashton made it up on to the couch, and decided to make a phone call

Valentine's Day

I changed our blog name...see if you can figure out what it means :)

For Valentine's Day Eric took Cate to a special dinner at Chick fil A.  The restaurant had a special dinner for Dads/Daughters.  They put table clothes on the tables, had arts and crafts and the Chick Fil A cow was there.  They had a great time and I love that Eric wore a tie to take his daughter out to dinner.  What a lucky girl!!

Cate was so excited to go to dinner that it was hard to get her to pose for a picture

Ashton LOVES to feed Buddy.  We feed Buddy twice a day and if it were up to Ashton Buddy would get to eat 20 times per day.

I got Cate some markers made for drawing on mirrors.  She loved them and of course Ashton wanted to do what Cate was doing.

I haven't updated the blog very much lately because I recently started my job.  Last week I worked full time and this coming week I am working three 12 hour shifts.  So far so good with my job.  I think that I am going to like it.  The people are very nice and I really like the hospital.  Hopefully once I am done with my training things will start to settle down a bit.

The kids are going to a home day care in our neighborhood.  The woman who is watching them has 2 little girls of her own and there is usually one or two other kids there with Cate and Ashton.  She does a preschool program in the morning and she provides all of the meals.  It is working out great so far and the kids love going there.  We feel so blessed to have found her.

Also, as if our lives weren't crazy enough we have decided to sell our town home and move in to a bigger place.  It should be on the market next week.  I guess no one can accuse us of just sitting around and letting life pass us by.

Kids playing together

Each day the kids are playing together more and more.  Cate is such a patient and loving big sister.  Ashton loves to do what ever his sister is doing.  He loves playing with her.  Here are a couple videos of them playing together.  The second video had Eric and I laughing pretty hard.  They came up with that game on their own

Friends

As Ashton gets older, he and Cate are playing together much more.  It is so fun to watch them play together.  Having a sibling is so fun and I love how well they get along.

Cate bought stuff from Ashton and then she made him a birthday cake.

Growing up so fast!!

Beautiful girl!!
