Trick or Treat
For Halloween this year we dressed Cate up as a lady bug. It is the same costume that I wore when I was two years old. My mom made the costume for me. The first picture is a picture of me in the costume and then the rest are pictures of Cate. She loved going trick or treating tonight. We weren't sure if she would like putting on the costume but she was so excited. When we went out trick or treating she did such a great job. At every house she told them what she was dressed up as, said "trick or treat", and then said "thank you". She kept asking us to do more trick or treating. Eric and I had so much fun taking her out tonight. It is so fun to experience things through Cate's eyes.

Fall
On Friday Cate got her new big girl bed. She was so excited to get it and loved helping me put on the new sheets. When it came to napping in it she was very unsure. I had to lay down with her until she fell asleep. So we were nervous about how she would do at night. When it came to bed time I read her stories and tucked her in and she went right to sleep. In the morning when she woke up she stayed in her bed and waited for me to come and get her. What a great little girl!!

Today is a beautiful fall day so we spent a lot of time outside in the yard. Here are some pictures of all the fall leaves.

I am now 32 weeks pregnant. My belly is ready for Halloween, it already looks like a pumpkin. I am still feeling pretty good, but I am starting to get a bit uncomfortable. The baby loves to kick me in the ribs and is very active. Eric and I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has gone. Only 8 weeks to go!

While Daddy is away
Eric has been out of town this week, but Cate and I have made the best of it. I enrolled her in gymnastics and our first class was on Monday. She loved it. We sang songs, played on the mats, walked on the balance beam and played with the parachute.

We also made a cake. Cate loves nothing more than to help Mommy do things. It is a great quality that she has. Hopefully it will carry over to helping when the new baby comes.

Children's Museum
Just a cute picture of Cate, Eric and Buddy

Today I took Cate to the Children's Museum. We haven't been there in quite a while so it was fun to see her play with things that she hadn't played with before. As she gets older she is able to do more and more at the museum. She was so excited to go there and she had so much fun while she was there.

Hay Ride
Today I met up with some friends and their kids for a hay ride at a corn farm. It was a bit chilly and windy but Cate had a great time. She was so excited because a tractor pulled us around. She also got to pick out a little pumpkin to take home. It was great to get together with a group of Moms.
Here is a picture of Cate all bundled up and ready for the hay ride. (Of course she is doing her new pose for the camera)

Here is a group photo of all the kids waiting to go on the hay ride.

Yipeee!!
I don't know what got Cate to start shouting Yipeee, but lately she has loved saying it. She will say "Mommy Yipee", "Daddy Yipee", and then "Cate Yipee". It is soooo cute. We got a little bit of it on video last night.
Here is a picture of Cate painting today. She is getting much better at holding the paintbrush.
